How Can You Support the Tivoli Free Library

Your local Library is an association which receives some fiscal assistance from the municipal government, local school district, and occasionally through grants. The remainder of our funding comes from individual donations in the form of cash contributions, magazine subscriptions, various materials, and personal time.

  • Monetary contributions are always welcome and will always be put to good use. We accept checks, cash, and you can easily contribute to the library via PayPal or your credit card with a click of your mouse (look for the Donate button below and on our home page).
  • The Library’s Trustees are all volunteers who make significant contributions to the Library and its patrons. Please consider joining the Library Board; meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise noted) at 6:30pm in the Library and are open to the public.
  • Contributing to our programming is another way to support the library. Are you a local author, illustrator, or musician? Do you love to work with children, teens, or adults? Is there a special skill you’d like to share with your community? Bring us your ideas and chances are we can find a place and time for you to share your talents with others, and it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors!
  • Donations of books and other materials: we are happy take a look at very small donations of materials, but at this time cannot accept large donations due to lack of storage space. Contact the Director with any questions regarding larger donations. Gift subscriptions to periodicals and newspapers are welcome!
