How Do I Get a Library Card?
Come Into the Library
Stop by the library with some valid photo identification and proof of your permanent residence (a piece of mail: a bill or bank statement, something with your address on it). Cards are free for everyone, and all ages can get their own card (parents/guardians must sign application form for children under 18).
If you already have a library card with a different library in the Mid Hudson Library System, you can use it here and online – if you have moved and would like a new card, we can help you with that.
Bard Students: we are happy to give you a library card while you are at Bard – just come by and fill out an application!
Get a Card Online
Visit our online registration page by clicking here. You will be given a temporary card number and instructions to set up a PIN. You will now be able to access all the online resources that your library has to offer. This card will expire in 30 days, so you will have to stop into the library to change over to a permanent card.
In order to be able to go to the library and check out materials, you will need to visit the library in person to get a physical card.
